Vendors Claiming Quantum-Safe / Quantum-Proof Crypto
Verdict
“Quantum-proof” on a homepage is not a cryptographic proof. Buyers should map claims to algorithms, threat models, audits, and operational key management—then compare to NIST PQC and hybrid best practices.
Overview
isquantumproof.com is an educational site. This index collects vendor- and product-shaped pages that discuss public claims of quantum safety. We do not endorse products, and we do not invent private technical details.
When evidence is incomplete, pages say so. When a project publishes concrete post-quantum designs (for example hash-based signature chains), we summarize what is public and what still depends on operations and surrounding classical crypto.
Start with the methodology hub, then open individual vendor pages. For NIST primitives, see /standards/* and /learn/what-is-pqc.
Claim scrutiny (buyer checklist)
Marketing / stated claims
- Many products use labels such as quantum-safe, quantum-proof, or quantum-resistant
Open questions
- Which NIST (or other) algorithms are actually implemented?
- What is audited vs aspirational roadmap?
Educational analysis only. Verify primary sources, specs, and audits yourself before any financial or procurement decision.
What breaks
- Accepting brand language without algorithm inventory
- Ignoring classical fallbacks, bridges, or admin keys still on RSA/ECC
- Assuming one quantum-safe component makes the whole system post-quantum
Mitigations
- Require algorithm names, parameter sets, and library provenance in writing
- Ask for third-party review scope and date
- Test hybrid and migration stories for classical components that remain
- Use the claim methodology page before any single vendor dossier
FAQ
Is this a scam list?
No. It is a claims-evaluation cluster. Some projects may implement serious PQC; others may over-market. The point is a repeatable buyer checklist.
Will you add every project that says quantum-proof?
Only wave-gated entries with enough public material to write non-thin pages. Volume without evidence is declined.
