Is Taiko (TAIKO) Quantum Proof?
Verdict
Taiko is not quantum-proof. Based-rollup design does not install post-quantum user signatures; secp256k1 EOAs still dominate spends.

Taiko targets Ethereum-equivalent ZK/based rollup patterns. Quantum risk for holders remains classical account signatures plus prover/operator infrastructure.
Separate proving systems from authorization crypto when reading marketing.
Exposure summary: EVM accounts; based/rollup operators add distinct classical surfaces. Signature surfaces: ECDSA-secp256k1 (EVM EOAs); Prover / based-rollup operator keys as deployed. - Classical signatures authorizing TAIKO value under Shor-class adversaries once public keys are known
- Custodial hot wallets and exchange operational keys
- Bridges, issuers, or operator sets outside ordinary user wallets
- Sequencer / prover / upgrade keys on the L2 path
Mitigations
- Inventory every key that can move TAIKO (self-custody, exchange, multisig, protocol roles)
- Name the host chain and bridge path for every balance
- Document operator/admin sets for L2s and apps
- Track ecosystem PQC research; branding is not deployment
