Verdict

Kaspa is not quantum-proof. Fast blockDAG throughput does not change classical ECDSA-family spend authorization.

Overview

Kaspa markets high-throughput PoW via a blockDAG architecture. Transaction authorization remains classical public-key cryptography for ordinary spends.

As with Bitcoin-family coins, separate mining discussions from signature theft. Address hygiene still applies.

  • Classical signatures authorizing KAS value movement under Shor-class adversaries once public keys are known
  • Custodial hot wallets and exchange operational keys
  • Bridges or wrapped representations with concentrated signers (if used)
  • Address reuse after public-key reveal

  • Inventory every key that can move KAS (self-custody, exchange, multisig)
  • Prefer multiparty / hardware policies for treasuries
