DeFi as a sector is not quantum-proof. Most value movement still depends on classical host-chain signatures (often secp256k1) plus protocol admin, oracle, and bridge keys. Quantum readiness is an inventory of every key that can move TVL—not a single protocol badge.

Decentralized finance multiplies cryptographic surfaces: traders hold keys, protocols hold admin powers, oracles sign data, and bridges custody cross-chain value. A quantum computer that breaks classical public-key signatures threatens that graph wherever elliptic-curve (or similar) keys remain.

Is DeFi quantum-proof?
Not as a category. Treat each protocol’s user keys, admins, oracles, and bridges as separate inventory lines on classical host chains unless PQC is explicitly deployed and verified.
Does using a smart-contract wallet help?
Account abstraction can enable future signature agility, but today most deployments still rest on classical schemes. Verify your wallet’s actual algorithms.
