BLS12-381 (light)
Pairing-friendly curve family used in modern consensus designs (including Ethereum staking contexts)—classical crypto, not a PQC checkbox.
Definition
BLS signatures over pairing-friendly curves enable aggregation and efficiency properties useful at validator scale. They are part of classical cryptographic research and deployments.
They should be inventoried in quantum migration discussions; they are not “already post-quantum” simply because they are newer than RSA.
