Verdict
As a chain, TRON should be modeled via its authorization cryptography—not market narratives. TRON is not quantum-proof. Account signatures are classical; USDT and other assets on TRON inherit wallet and exchange operational risk at large scale.

TRON (TRX) is included in Wave 6a as a top-market-cap L1 / native smart-chain target. This page is the chain cryptography profile.
TRON is a high-throughput smart-contract chain heavily used for token transfers (including stablecoins). User authorization is classical public-key cryptography in the common account model.
Because so much economic activity is custodial or exchange-driven, quantum risk conversations must include hot wallets and deposit address practices—not only “TRX consensus trivia.”

- Signatures: ECDSA-secp256k1 (account model similar to many smart-contract chains)
- Hash: Keccak-family usage in address derivation contexts
- Public-key exposure: Public accounts; high activity on stablecoin rails concentrates custody risk.
What breaks
- Classical signatures authorizing TRX value movement under Shor-class adversaries once public keys are known
- Custodial hot wallets and exchange operational keys
- Bridges or wrapped representations with concentrated signers (if used)
- EVM admin/upgrade keys on critical contracts

- Inventory every key that can move TRX (self-custody, exchange, multisig)
- Prefer multiparty / hardware policies for treasuries

Does fast finality mean quantum-safe?
No. Performance is orthogonal to post-quantum signature assumptions.
What is special about TRON risk?
Scale of token movement and exchange concentration. Classical key ops dominate practical risk today; CRQC would amplify exposed public keys.
