Profile view: Core is not quantum-proof for typical EVM user spends. Bitcoin-related consensus marketing does not make CORE accounts post-quantum.
Overview
This is the Wave 7e network/profile page for Core (l1).
Core combines EVM smart contracts with Bitcoin-aligned consensus narratives. Quantum analysis must separate consensus claims from account signature schemes.
Users still sign EVM transactions with classical keys in the common path.

Cryptographic profile
- Signatures: EVM account signatures (secp256k1) where EVM is used, Satoshi-plus / validator related keys (verify design)
- Hash: EVM + chain-specific hashing
- Public-key exposure: Hybrid Bitcoin-related security narratives; user EVM keys still classical.

What breaks
- Classical signatures authorizing CORE value under Shor-class adversaries once public keys are known
- Custodial hot wallets and exchange operational keys
- Bridges, issuers, or operator sets outside ordinary user wallets
Mitigations
- Inventory every key that can move CORE (self-custody, exchange, multisig, protocol roles)
- Name the host chain and bridge path for every balance
- Document operator/admin sets for L2s and apps
- Track ecosystem PQC research; branding is not deployment
- Use /assessment and claims methodology pages for program framing
