Verdict
Sitemaps do not make pages quantum-proof; they help discovery. Wave 7j shards finance URLs when counts exceed one thousand for operational hygiene.
Overview
The live sitemap index lists core and finance children. Finance may be split into sitemap-finance-0.xml, sitemap-finance-1.xml, … when path count is large.
Legacy /sitemap-finance.xml may still be emitted as a convenience shard or alias depending on generator version—prefer the index.

- Serving stale sitemaps after large factory deploys
- Forgetting to register new shard routes on the server

- Run npm run sitemap on each release
