Verdict
Hardware wallets reduce remote extraction risk but are not quantum-proof while they sign classical ECDSA/Ed25519 (or similar) transactions. Firmware authenticity is a separate classical/PQC signing story.

Cold storage is operational hygiene. Quantum risk for spends remains the signature scheme of the chain.
